Bethesda Game Studios was kind enough to send Tango copies of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector’s Edition!

Unfortunately these aren’t going to be released in Japan, but Bethesda provided one for everyone on staff! Thanks! These are awesome!

Last Friday we hosted a big BBQ for Tango Gameworks employees!

Getting ready for some grillin’.

The getting the coal ready to roll.

We’re good to go, but first, a word from Mr. Shinji Mikami。

Cheers!

Eating some deliciously grilled yaki-niku.

Mikami-san chomping down on some meat ROCK STAR STYLE!

Some of our staff brought their dogs. Two cute french bulldogs in a bonding moment.

Nishikawa-san spent the whole day cooking up his hometown Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki.

Throw some yaki-soba in there and its good to go.

Yokota-san with a couple of drinks in him. Looks like he’s up to something…

Sadly, our 4 hour BBQ marathon comes to a close.

Everyone gets together for a final cheer.

A great success! Full bellies and empty Styrofoam trays.

Everyone here at Tango Gameworks wants to do something like this at least once a year. It was great to kick back and relax with everyone from work.

Uh oh. Someone partied a little too hard. Time to teach him a lesson.

When he finally woke up, everyone had already gone home.

Creator of Resident Evil Will Develop Titles for Bethesda Softworks
Mikami’s Tango Gameworks acquired in latest deal for ZeniMax.

October 28, 2010 (Rockville, MD) – ZeniMax Media Inc., parent company of noted game publisher Bethesda Softworks, today announced acclaimed game designer and director, Shinji Mikami, has joined ZeniMax in a deal where ZeniMax acquired Tango Gameworks, the development shop founded and run by Mikami. Best known as the creator of the Resident Evil series, Mikami is a 20-year veteran of the industry who has developed numerous award-winning titles.

Tango will continue to be run by Shinji Mikami, and he will serve as the creative lead for all future projects.
